Questions
- What is a good vacation song?
- A good vacation song matches the moment: something bright and easy for the beach or poolside, a steady groove for long drives, and slower, warmer tracks for sunsets and summer nights. Every playlist here is built around one of those moments.
- Are these vacation songs free to listen to?
- Yes. All 119 tracks play in full right here, with free MP3 downloads, and every song links to its page on purr.to and to Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and Bandcamp.
- Can I use these songs in my travel vlog or stream?
- Yes. Purrple Cat Self Releases, which is every track on this site, are free under CC BY 4.0 on social media and livestreams, as long as you credit “Music by Purrple Cat”. Never re-upload them to music streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, and never register them in Content ID.
- Will I get a Content ID claim?
- Purrple Cat Self Releases are never registered in Content ID, so your travel videos stay claim-free. Collab and label tracks are not part of the free catalogue, which is why none of them are on this site.
- What music is good for a road trip?
- Steady mid-tempo tracks that keep moving without wearing you out. Try the Road Trip playlist (Road Trip, Happy Trails, Sunshine Boulevard) or plan a playlist that lasts the whole drive with the trip planner.
- What should I listen to on a plane?
- Soft, airy tracks that sit under the engine hum and help you nap. The Airport & Plane playlist pulls from Above the Clouds plus a few window-seat favourites.
